This site was initially established in 2004 and operated through to late 2012. It used to provide information about kayaking on the Great Lakes destinations; which include Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron; as well as Lake Superior.
The site is now being relaunched with better and more insightful content; and in-depth images for better interactivity with visitors.

Kayaking Activities in Lake Superior.
As a matter of fact, Lake Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world. It offers one of the most spectacular kayaking destinations in the Great Lakes region. Moreover, its vastness offers an opportunity for amazing kayaking adventure coupled with several sightseeing sceneries. The best time to kayak on this lake is around June through to August when the storms are minimal and the weather is quiet predictable.
Furthermore, it has a long rugged coastline and great sandy beaches; as well as numerous rocky islands and sea caves; which offer kayakers and exciting adventurous experience. The rocks on Ontario shore of Lake Superior are dated around 2.7 billion years ago making it superb scenery for adventure.
After all, the waters of Lake Superior are turbulent; and should be dared by kayakers who have expertise in paddling and dealing with currents. Also the weather conditions can change fast without any warning; thus emergencies skills; such as swimming are important for kayakers in this great lake.

1. The Apostle Islands
This is located in Northern Wisconsin. However, this consists of 22 small islands located off the Bayfield Peninsula.
